The Wheeler House is a place where housing needs can be met for single moms and their kids.
Serve Denton created a space where single moms and their kids can live for 3-6 months to get back on their feet. Giving Hope, Inc. manages this portion of The Wheeler House by providing all of the case work to help the moms find employment, child care, permanent housing and more.
The Wheeler House opened in June 2015, and 100 moms and kids have now transitioned into permanent housing or are currently being served at The Wheeler House.
Coming Soon … Emergency Housing
Grace Like Rain and Serve Denton are partnering together to renovate open space at The Wheeler House into an emergency shelter for single moms and their kids. Three families will be able to stay at The Wheeler House at one time for up to 4 weeks.
Our vision is for families to be able to seamlessly transition from the emergency shelter program into the transitional housing program managed by Giving Hope, Inc. Our hope is for moms and kids facing a housing crisis to be cared for at multiple stages in the housing process.
How You Can Help!
We desire for every family who moves into The Wheeler House to have new sheets, bedspreads and pillows they can take with them to their new home when they move into permanent housing!
You can donate these items and bring them to our office at 306 N Loop 288, Denton, TX, or donate money toward The Wheeler House. There are twin and full-size mattresses in each family room.
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
