Arrival Time + Place
Celebration is moving locations this year and will take place at Embassy Suites Denton Convention Center, which is located at 3100 Town Center Trail, Denton, TX 76201.
The event officially starts at 6:30 pm, however, doors open at 5:30 pm, so feel free to show up anytime between then to get checked in, browse through the silent auction packages, grab a glass of wine, visit with friends and find your seat.
When you arrive, there will be volunteers with iPads checking guests in. They will ask for the basics like your name and phone number as well as your credit card information.
In order to get you set up for our silent auction, they will put your credit card information on file so you can have an easier check out at the end of the night if you win any packages. If you don't end up winning anything, nothing will be charged to your card! If you feel uncomfortable giving us your credit card information up front, no problem at all. We can grab it from you during the actual check out process at the end of the night.
We have over 130 silent auction packages from unique experiences and overnight stays to beautiful art, jewelry and a vintage car. Even if you are unable to attend Celebration, you can still bid online starting on Saturday, April 7 at 8:00 am through the end of the event.
Some of our packages:
- 1964 red Chevrolet Corvair convertible in pristine condition
- “Name Your Own Ice Cream” at Beth Marie's
- “Food Coma Tour,” which includes seven stops at Radical Hospitality’s award-winning restaurants such as Barley & Board, LSA Burger Co. and Earl's 377 Pizza
- UNT Football VIP Suite on the 50-yard line including food and beverages
When you arrive to Celebration, feel free to start bidding on items as you browse around. You will receive a text right after you check in that will provide you with the link to all of the silent auction items. This is where you will place your bids, so once you find a package you like at the event, simply look up the item by name or number, then place a bid.
He will share his childhood story of escaping an abusive home and being raised in East Tennessee by his grandfather, a man who taught him how to become an honorable man, a lesson he has carried into his career in pro football.
"Making a Difference" Awards
This is our third year presenting community members with the "Making a Difference" award. This award is meant to honor community members who make a difference for Denton, but rarely get the recognition they deserve.
As many of you know, Serve Denton recently moved to a 32,500 square foot building where local nonprofit agencies can office for significantly below market rates so more of their money can go toward helping people get back on their feet as opposed to overhead costs.
Our vision is that when nonprofits are officing together those in need only have to visit one location to receive the help they need.
YOU can be part of making human services more accessible to the marginalized in our area.
This is why we have set a high goal for the night! Because we need your help to make this dream possible. All silent auction bidding and donations from the night will go toward this total. We will periodically be updating you on where we are at in relation to our goal throughout the night.
YOU can completely transform the way our neighbors receive help. YOU can make a difference in Denton County.
Celebration is made possible because of our extraordinary underwriters Bill Cheek, Glen McKenzie and John Williams and our signature sponsor, Trinity United Methodist Church, honoring the ministry of Mark and Penny Vennerholm.
Some of our other sponsors include It’s-A-Burger; Lily of the Desert; iTeach U.S.; DATCU Credit Union; Denton Community Food Center; UNT Athletic Department; Grunden Financial Advisory, Inc.; 100 N Loop 288, LLC; Dr. Bettye Myers; and many more.
