My Health My Resources - Early Childhood Services has voiced that tenancy at the Serve Denton Center will enable their staff to have a presence in the Denton community as well as have an office space closer to the families they serve.

Because ECS currently partners with many of the organizations already at Serve Denton, officing at the Serve Denton Center will allow them to communicate and collaborate more easily.

“ECS professionals primarily work from their cars between home visits,” said Laura Kender, Chief of Early Childhood Services. “Services are provided in the child's home or child care center—although services may also occur in a park, library or other community setting. Having an office in Serve Denton will allow ECS staff to save time, work more efficiently, access office equipment/supplies and have a place to conduct groups and team meetings. The less time staff must spend driving leaves more time they can spend with the families.”

Originally a small clinic that only offered mental health services, My Health My Resources has grown over the past 50 years and expanded to provide substance abuse, criminal justice system support, early childhood services and more.

“We are excited about partnering with the other providers in providing services to the Denton County residents,” Laura said.

They are looking forward to opening their new office in Denton County and collaborating with the other partner agencies that office at the Serve Denton Center.

“Early Childhood Services is about building relationships—with families we serve, among our staff and with our community,” said Maxine Butler, Program Director for Early Childhood Services in Denton County. “Being located at the Serve Denton office will facilitate greater collaboration to serve area children and their families. It also allows us a place to meet with groups of families to enhance their ECS experience. We look forward to connecting with and serving more families in Denton with this partnership.”
