Friends of the Family

Help Friends of the Family sort and organize their Community Relations closet. They need a group of 5-8 people to help them clean out and sort through their storage closet. If you have a group, this is the perfect volunteer opportunity! Contact Alicia Froidl for more information: volunteer@dcfof.org.

CASA of Denton County

CASA needs more Court-Appointed Special Advocate volunteers! You would represent the best interest of an abused or neglected child in court. Volunteers are appointed by judges to guide one child or one set of siblings through the system to safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible. Contact Debbie Jensen to RSVP: djensen@casadenton.org.

Denton Mobile Pantry

The Denton Hunger Coalition and Tarrant Area Food Bank collaborate together to bring fresh produce and shelf-stable items to Denton every second Saturday of the month for the Denton Mobile Pantry.
They need volunteers to distribute food. If you are bilingual in Spanish and English, they also need help registering people!

Date: Saturday, June 10
Time: 8:00 am – 11:00 am

Our Daily Bread

Help serve the hungry at Our Daily Bread’s Monday Night Meal. Our Daily Bread is a community soup kitchen in Denton, and they need volunteers to help prep meals, serve meals and/or clean up afterward. You can also join their Kitchen Dishwashing Support team!

Date: Every Monday
Time: Meal – 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm; Cleaning – 10:30 am – 2:00 pm (M-F)

The Wheeler House

Serve Denton needs volunteers for their monthly service day at The Wheeler House! Help paint rooms, clean the house, garden and more to serve the moms transitioning out of homelessness.

Woman to Woman

Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center needs help at their resale store, Twice As Nice! You can help with intake at the door, sorting clothes, pricing items, working as a cashier or as an admin.

Date: Every Monday thru Saturday
Time: 9:45 am – 1:45 pm & 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Peace of the Rock Ministries

Peace of the Rock Ministries organizes community events for all ages, and they need volunteers for their Freedom Fest event. This is a family-friendly celebration with live music, climbing walls, fishing, fireworks and more. There will be a volunteer meeting on Sunday, June 25 at 2:00 pm at the Cedar Lodge. Assignments will be given during the meeting.

Monsignor King Outreach Center

Monsignor King Outreach Center is a homeless and inclement weather shelter. They need volunteers during the night shifts (1:00 am – 5:00 am) and breakfast shifts (5:00 am – 8:00 am).

Shiloh Community Garden

Interfaith Ministries provides emergency basic needs assistance to people in Denton County, with the goal to help them become self-sufficient. Interfaith is seeking bilingual volunteers who can donate 4 hours a week and assist with client intake.
