We were honored to get the opportunity to name Allison Engineering Group as our Business Partner of the Month for December!
In May 2018, Lee Allison, Owner of Allison Engineering Group, offered his civil design services pro bono for the construction of the Denton Community Food Center building on the Serve Denton campus.
Lee and his team also saved Serve Denton considerable costs by working with the City of Denton to avoid water and sewer impact fees, thus saving Serve Denton more than $50,000 on its expansion.
The savings enabled the Denton Community Food Center to include everything they desired for this new space within their budget.
The food center will be able to distribute over 300 tons of food through the efficiencies gained in this new facility. This amount of food represents a 15 percent increase over the amount given in 2017, providing over 20,000 grocery bags worth of food to families in need.
When all phases of the Serve Denton project are completed, the Serve Denton Center will be the second largest health and human services center in the state of Texas, second to Haven for Hope in San Antonio, Texas.
Support in 2015
In 2015, Lee Allison prepared the Specific Use Permit for The Wheeler House.
Allison Engineering Group has played an instrumental role in helping Serve Denton achieve its vision over the past three years. We are so grateful for the partnership we have with Allison Engineering Group, and we look forward to what the future holds.
