The Schmitz Family has committed to donating $250,000 to Serve Denton to name the Denton Community Food Center (DCFC) building on the Serve Denton campus, “The Schmitz Family Building: Denton Community Food Center.”

December 20th marked the culmination of 21 months of effort for Health Services of North Texas, Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County, Denton Community Food Clinic and Serve Denton. We closed on a $9.5 million deal that will enable each agency to accomplish some of its strategic goals that most likely would never have been achieved by the organizations working independently.

The Denton Community Food Center Receives $30,000 from PointBank

PointBank President Ray David, Jr. and PointBank have committed to donating $30,000 to the Serve Denton Capital Campaign. The Denton Community Food Center waiting room will be sponsored by PointBank, and will be named after Ray David’s mother and stepfather, Bill and Linda Brady.

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Grace Like Rain to open an emergency shelter at The Wheeler House!

Grace Like Rain, based in Denton, works to help individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The organization’s vision is to provide moms and dads of young children a helping hand in times of crisis and homelessness

Help Us Welcome Friends of the Family!

We are so excited to welcome Denton County Friends of the Family to the Serve Denton Center as our newest partner agency!

Since 1980, Denton County Friends of the Family (DCFOF) has provided compassionate and comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, while partnering with the community to promote safety, hope, healing, justice and prevention. All victim services are free of charge.

You’ve probably heard us talk about it, but what is the Circle of Support? Circle of Support is Serve Denton’s monthly giving program!

Created in November 2016, Circle of Support donations help welcome multiple new nonprofits to our building so we can exponentially increase the number of people and families that are served at the Serve Denton Center.

Serve Denton hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking on Thursday, October 4 to celebrate Health Services of North Texas, Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County and Denton Community Food Center becoming partner agencies at the Serve Denton Center. A reception followed the groundbreaking.

100 Served at The Wheeler House!

The Wheeler House has reached a huge milestone. Since opening in 2015, 100 moms and kids have been served through The Wheeler House! This would not have been possible without YOU. Because of your donations, gifts, volunteer hours and support The Wheeler House is a safe place for moms and their kids who have fallen on hard times.
