A Letter From Our Co-Chairs
Our capital campaign is designed to raise a significant amount of money for the construction of various phases in our expansion project that will not hinder funds for our normal operation expenses. This will allow more nonprofits to be located in our Serve Denton Center, making it easier for those in need to receive the needed services.
I am personally investing in the Serve Denton capital campaign because I have seen the results of reduced overhead expenses by our partner agencies, which allows them to devote more of their dollars to servicing their clients.
The Serve Denton capital campaign gives others the opportunity to make a financial commitment over a designated number of years of their choice; which can impact nonprofits financially, thus directly help those in need in our Denton community.
Thank you for your interest!

How You Can Make a Difference
We currently have 11 nonprofit partners at the Serve Denton Center. Some of the services already available include counseling, income assistance, parenting classes, youth mentoring and more.
The Serve Denton Capital Campaign will help bring even more direct services to one location, such as a medical clinic, advocacy center and food center.
The affordable health clinic will be operated by Health Services of North Texas on a sliding scale basis. The nonprofit will offer family medicine, women’s services, senior care, pediatrics and have a pharmacy.
The child abuse resource center will be operated by Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County. The nonprofit coordinates the investigation of child abuse in a collaborative, child-friendly environment.
The food distribution center for low-income individuals and families will be operated by Denton Community Food Center. The nonprofit will be able to triple their size, which means more people will be served.
Denton County is one of the fastest growing counties in the country with 26,000 people moving here each year. These people come from all walks of life, with different income levels, needs and difficulties. We need your help to expand our community’s support system so when families hit hard times, we are ready to help them get back on their feet.
You can grow Denton’s support system by helping turn a single location assistance center, a vision that started 40 years ago, into a reality.
You can help build a legacy to create a place most communities only dream of having … the Serve Denton Center, a place to care for individuals and families.
Serve Denton is seeking to raise $3.5 million of our total $10.1 million project through our capital campaign. The remaining $6.6 million will be funded through grants, capital investments from partner nonprofits and New Markets Tax Credits.
People Served + Money Saved
Once all 4 phases of the Serve Denton Center are complete, 16,414 individuals are projected to be served by our partnering nonprofits in the first year of operations.
Once the Serve Denton Center is at full capacity, partnering nonprofits will collectively save $453,314 every year, helping impact more people.

What is Serve Denton?
We help people get the comprehensive support essential to becoming self-sufficient by bringing nonprofits together at below market rates, fostering collaboration and reducing barriers to services.
When a family falls on hard times, finding help can be overwhelming. When nonprofits are spread out, it can be difficult to find the organizations that can help, let alone find the transportation.
Our solution is to have multiple nonprofit agencies on the same campus, so those in need only have to visit one location to receive the help they need, making social services more accessible.
Our vision is to fill the rungs of this self-sufficiency ladder by having nonprofits address each one of these areas of need at the Serve Denton Center.
These are the nonprofit agencies that currently office or will office at the Serve Denton Center.
Some of the service they provide include food, health care, individual and family counseling, play therapy, early childhood intervention services, sexual exploitation healing, income assistance, child abuse healing and investigations, veteran counseling, youth mentoring, pregnancy resources, life skills and parenting classes.
We still need approximately $2.3 million to finish this $8.7 million project.
